STUFF ...

Okay, a quick update but I'm gonna try and cram as much info into it as possible.

DEADGIRL
Our Portland screening is canceled. As far as I can tell, this had to do with technical issues in the theater that the festival is playing at. So much for advancements in digital shooting. Sorry, Portland :(

But for those of you living in London, we're having a special screening at Brunal University as part of their annual Cine-Excess Film Conference. Here's the screening info:

May 1st, 2pm, Odeon Covent Garden, London

The screening is sort of a pre-release event for the UK DVD of Deadgirl, which is coming out on June 8, 2009 from Metrodome Entertainment.

Dark Sky's U.S. DVD release of Deadgirl is scheduled for sometime later in 2009, so be patient or order a Region 2 disc from England in June!

We're nearing the end of our festival tour soon (although there are a few more yet to be announced) in anticipation of the DVD.

In the meantime, we played three times at Amsterdam's IMAGINE FILM FESTIVAL along with the World Premiere of Chad Ferrin's ...

SOMEONE'S KNOCKING AT THE DOOR
Apparently the premiere went well. Here's a shot of my main man Silvester from the band FONDLECORPSE - an awesome band and a great supporter (notice his original EBKK disc in hand) - with Tim Muskatell at said Premiere:

And here's a Youtube video of Tim after the screening where they also mention Deadgirl:

Fangoria.com ran a piece about the movie with some new stills and the POSTER ART, which you can check out HERE.

Speaking of Chad Ferrin, here's a title I haven't mentioned in a while:

EASTER BUNNY, KILL! KILL!
For those of you who couldn't download the film for four bucks (and now you can't do it since cruxy.com went out of business), our friends Tom Devlin and Lola Wallace have started an indie DVD distribution company called PLAN 10 and they're selling ACTUAL DVDs of EBKK! Check out the website and buy yourself a copy of their film THE TREK (which I'm also in) while you're picking up EBKK.

PLAN 10 PICTURES

But wait! There's MORE EBKK product out there! You love our poster art, right? How'd you like a t-shirt with said design on it? Our good friends at Gasslight Entertainment have got em! Get em while they're hot!

Order your Easter Bunny, KILL! KILL! t-shirt (women's t-shirts, too!)

Just when you think that this update is done ... it ain't. Did a brief interview for a site called Dr. Pogo's Slaughter, Shock, and Screams which you can read right HERE.

Yeah. I guess they're done with that Jane Jensen video that I was in. Here's a screen cap from the video. That's me in the background, being all romantic ... now that's acting!

You can check out the director's website (he also directed the TROMATIZED! documentary) and watch the video in its entirety right HERE.

Or you could just watch it right here:

Is that it? Yes, I think it is. I'm trying to land this really cool writing gig. The sad thing is, even if I DO land it I probably won't be able to talk about it here. But I'll let you know if it does, indeed, happen.

Busy Week ...

... It's been a heck of a week. It was Spring Break this week, so my Mom came in and picked up Max and took him to Indiana for the week. Lynh and I took advantage of the opportunity to go snowboarding at Big Bear Mountain for the weekend because today is our tenth wedding anniversary (!). Did that, came back to LA, got interviewed for the Bordello of Blood PodCast, attended the Premiere of SUTURES at the Fine Art Theater, and yesterday I flew to St. Louis and back to pick up Max. Now we've gotta do the Easter thing with Lynh's family this weekend ...

Everything goes back on schedule on Monday, though.

In the meantime, a few minor tidbits of news.

DEADGIRL screened in Boston, Florida, and Hong Kong. There are just a few more festivals on deck and then we're taking it off the table to prepare for the upcoming DVD release. So the upcoming festival screenings in the next two months may be the last time it plays for a while ...

We're playing the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival on April 15th, Amsterdam and then Portland (see last posting for info) ... I think that there's one more festival (that we aren't announcing yet) after that. Then you'll be putting it on your Netflix queue, right?

Right?

A couple of reviews have gone up based on the Boston screening. Here they are:

eFilmCritic's FIVE STAR Review of DEADGIRL

They Might Be Critics' Review of DEADGIRL

Lastly, there's a signing for Tom Devlin and Lola Wallace's THE TREK at Dark Delicacies tomorrow at 2:00pm. I'm gonna pop in, say hi, and try to pick up a copy for myself since I've yet to see the thing!

Okay, that's all for now. Gotta get ready to take my Lady out for dinner!
